Spencer was born in Red Deer, Alberta in 1992 three months later he was adopted by the Simkin family. Spencer then grew up in the small town of Airdrie just outside of Calgary, Alberta. He lived there for eighteen years then moved to Lethbridge, Alberta to attend the University of Lethbridge as well as compete with the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns swim team. His passion for music started later in life after being pushed by several music teachers into solo competitions. After some relative success in solo competitions Spencer’s focus shifted more into swimming and music took a back seat for several years. Spencer’s passion for music re-emerged when he decided to attend the University of Lethbridge and found their Digital Audio Arts program. After several years of Multidisciplinary studies he joined the program and graduated in the spring of 2016. Spencer’s interests are broad spanning recording for radio, movies and games to the more traditional avenue of recording bands and solo artists. Spencer currently resides in Lethbridge where he coaches for the LASC swim team and host the weekly radio program Global Metal on CKXU.
